Principle Responsibilities:

Defining and communicating the engineering vision, strategy and roadmap for the company

Defining Product/feature roadmap and product/feature requirements and writing Product Requirements Documents.

Leading and Managing all engineering deliverables across the Company product family through the various stages of the product development lifecycle.

Gathering and Prioritizing market and customer requirements via customer support and market research.
-
Incorporating customer feedback into future product requirements.

Product Support for marketing and sales team
-
Researching and Evaluating competitive products from a technical, product and marketing perspective

Analyzing competitive offerings and incorporating findings into product development
-
Providing direction to engineering, Design, Documentation, QA, etc. in all phases of the product development life-cycle.

Interfacing with the field sales force as the product expert, helping with RFPs, communicating roadmaps etc.

Preparing and Delivering Presentations, Demonstrations and Product Concepts to Customers, Prospects and Partners.

Managing the Selection, Training, Career Planning and Performance Evaluation of Product Engineering Professionals in the group to successfully meet deliverables as well as manage their growth within the organization
Technical Responsibilities:
- Work with Architect and team to deliver high-level and detailed design.
- Review team member`s implementation to ensure they follow the design and coding guidelines.
- Perform Functional code reviews & integration tests.
- Work with Ddevelopers, Technical Leads and QA team to resolve their Technical Issues & Mentor them.
- Manage a team of 30+ engineering staff
- Ensure on-time deliveries with required quality and productivity standards.
Managerial/Technical Skills Required:

High competence in Project Managerial Tasks, IT Experience in Project Management

Identifying project life cycle Full SDLC cycle & Project Management process with its phases, Onsite co-ordination

Design and development of Java / J2EE Enterprise applications – Java, JSP, Servlet, Java Beans, XML, Web Services, SOA, JDBC, Jibx. Should have good exposure to Microsoft technologies from VB to .Net platform.

Strong Database Skills with Microsoft SQL Server Platform

Successfully managing teams and demonstrating successful leadership of Project/Product Releases.

Experience in translating the business needs into detailed development and engineering specifications

People Management and Team Building Skills

Superior ability to Conceptualize, Design, Manage, Document and Communicate the Architecture, Technology and Construction guidelines to both Developers and to Non-Technical Senior Managers.

Strong Communicator, in verbal and written forms.

Ability to create an environment that is both motivating and provides clear communication.

Excellent knowledge of Software Development Methodologies, Lifecycles, Quality Standards and Project Management.

Should have excellent understanding of Java technical issues with respect to development and deployment of large-scale production systems.

Should have ability to manage multiple projects and multiple relationships simultaneously.

Should have ability to address training and career development needs of individual, teams or organization.
